Our headquarters are in Veldhoven, the Netherlands, and we have 18 office locations around the United States including main offices in Chandler Arizona, San Jose and San Diego California, Wilton Connecticut, and Hillsboro Oregon.Job MissionThe position is in the group of Product Safety and Reliability within HMI D&E.The mission of HMI D&E, as a R&D organization, is to develop new SEM Inspection tools for semiconductor industry.The function of Product Safety and Reliability is to ensure the new products developed meet industrial safety standards and availability spec.This position may require access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R.
§ 730, et seq.).
Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work.
Business demands may require the Company to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.Job DescriptionAs a main contact and leading role, work with qualified third party test lab or NRTL to evaluate and certify HMI products to required industry safety and compliance standards and certification marks, such as but not limited to: S2, NFPA 79, CE, UL, CB, EMC etc.Receiving product safety and compliance certification requests from program and project, work out the certification requirements, schedule and cost with both internal Engineering dept.
and external third party test lab.Manage and own hardware compliance certification process and keep all parties involved to provide deliverables on time.Responsible for communicating with design engineers, product management, and third party on technical questions and information clarification.As EMC test expert, working with project team to make the new product pass EMC test required for semiconductor equipment.
Provide EMC test knowledge and competence to engineering team.
Working with engineering team on EMC issues with advise.Being the principle knowledge owner and subject matter expert of industry compliance requirements on HMI products (modules, final product) and communicate with customers to address any non-compliances on certification evaluations.Maintain certification documents for continued compliance.Ensure updates to the latest industry standards and how the changes affect internal products.As an expert of product Safety Risk Assessment (SRA),facilitate and manage SRA sessions with related departments during new product development.EducationBachelor or Master Degree or equivalent in electrical engineering with 3-5 years of relevant work experience.Experience3
– 5 year experience in product compliance and certification.EMC Test experience is a plusKnowledge of semiconductor equipment safety standards, such as SEMI S2, IEC, UL, NFPA, OSHA, EMC etc.Knowledge of Safety Risk Assessment methodology, such as SEMI S10 and ISO 12100.Broad technical knowledge in engineering and affinity with related disciplinesExperience in ASML is a plus.Personal skillsGood oral and written communication skills.
