Product Development Coordinator will demonstrate expertise and knowledge in apparel development concepts, practices, and procedures showcasing such proven success in a manufacturing environment.
They will rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish departmental goals.
This individual will partner closely with department heads, cross functional teams, as well as outside vendors to complete the tasks at hand.
The most essential responsibility of this position is to ensure that the design teams’ visions are effectively communicated, developed and executed through their understanding of the brand’s aesthetic design and intent, meeting all calendar deadlines and development KPI’s.

70%nn Collaborate with Cross Functional Partners throughout the organization Support design innovation by sourcing brand-appropriate fabrics and trims.
Support allocating new developments to vendors based on technical capabilities, factory capacity, and affordable labor costs, in partnership with production.
Help ensure all products are developed within target cost parameters Monitor calendar milestones Deliver samples for market that are engineered to meet needed aesthetic, quality, and cost requirements.
Recommend component options to designs that will maintain esthetic vision while achieving financial goals.

20%nn Help to create and communicate seasonal Brand reports to business partners and executives as needed.

10%nn Work to support continued PLM system management, assigning vendors to each style once allocated.
Promote tech packs through each stage of the development process, from proto stage through SMS completion.
Confirm all new raw material components are approved and accurately set up in PLM to ensure costing and styles are reflective of designs vision and to prevent the delay of any styles being pushed into AX production.
Serve as a stakeholder in system and process enhancements related to Product Development nn nn nn Key Stakeholders: nn nnDesign, Merchandising, Technical Services, QC, and the Distribution Centernn nn n nn nn Required Skills: nn Minimum of 4-5 years of prior product development experience in a manufacturing setting Technical understanding and knowledge of fabrics, trims, garment manufacturing, and fits Strong knowledge of product creation and how it integrates into the production process Ability to understand and accurately report out information for strategic business planning Strong oral and written communication skills to support all cross-functional teams and to help guide direct reports performance expectations.
