Job Title: Radiologic Technologist I

Job Summary:

As a Radiologic Technologist I this person performs Radiological Procedures at a technical level sufficient to provide adequate diagnosis. Radiologic Technologist I assists the Radiologist/ or other designated Physician in performing Radiological Procedures on patients ranging in age from Pediatric to geriatric. Radiologic Technologist I must establish and maintain quality control procedures for the Imaging Services Department.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Performs and/or assists with all Radiographic Procedures with efficiency and quality according to the approved Departmental Procedures Manual.
  • Reviews images for proper positioning, technique and patient identification in order to be sent to the Radiologist as a completed examination.
  • Demonstrates a complete working knowledge of all radiographic equipment within the Imaging Department.
  • Demonstrates the ability to correctly image and identify anatomical structures as it relates to diagnostic imaging and uses proper patient positioning. Correctly marks images with appropriate notations and initials.
  • Demonstrates proper use of patient shielding devices and uses ALARA consistently while performing job tasks.
  • Performs any other duties or responsibilities as assigned.

Education/Experience:

  • High school graduate
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist Program
  • Must have completed internship in good standing.
  • 1-3 year of prior acute Hospital experience preferred.

Licensure/Certifications:

  • Current CPR
  • Current ARRT Certificate, in good standing, preferred
  • Current CRT, California Radiological Technologist Certificate.
