As a full service, minority owned company (MBE), AIS’s wide range of capabilities include environmental construction, remediation, abatement, demolition, asset recovery, specialty transportation, industrial services, emergency response and waste management.JOB SUMMARYA growing Environmental Remediation, Abatement and Demolition, and Transportation Firm is in need of a Permit Specialist.

Our ideal candidate is friendly; customer service oriented and has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

He or she will have the ability to attend to detail and work with a high degree of accuracy, prioritize and efficiently complete varied tasks and meet deadlines, while working independently.RESPONSIBILITIESProvide a full range of permit processing duties.Permit procurement, coordination of inspections with field activities and report preparationInformation dissemination for building and grading permit applicationsPermit revisions and correctionsClient contact to assure the permit application is accurateSubmittal of permit applications to various agencies for approvalMaintain permit files and follow up status of permitsCommunicate permit status to managementWork with clients to make sure projects are on track by lining up permits and expediting permit processProvide administration support to staff as neededMaintain electronic and hard copy filing systemStrong computer skills are a must; Need to be highly proficient in MS Word/ExcelQUALIFICATIONS2+ years of permit processing within Construction industry preferredMinimum two-year college certificate.

Graduation from an accredited 4 year college is preferred.Excellent oral and communication skillsDemonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environmentKnowledge of standard software applicationsOrganized, efficient, and able to be productive with very little supervision
