Responsibilities
The department of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine is seeking to hire an Operations Equipment Analyst to assist with ordering and maintenance of equipment, such as computers, laptops, computer peripherals, printers, microscopes, and lab equipment used by faculty and administrative staff.
Other duties include:
Serve as the department liaison when working with Digital Technology Information Technology (DGIT) and Information Systems Services (ISS) to expedite service requests for 250+ Faculty and staff.
Oversee preventive maintenance and service calls of over 100 microscopes for Faculty and Residents.
Facilitate and implement successful moves and installations of departmental offices and research laboratories.
Take measurements of space, equipment, furniture and diagram plans to scale.
Coordinate with vendors and department staff on the delivery and installation of computers, microscopes, furniture, and lab equipment.
Verify satisfactory completion of pending requests for goods or services.
Submit and track Facility Service Requests (FSRs), Telephone service requests (TSRs), and other requests for goods or services.
Provide consultative services in areas of expertise to Faculty, Managers, and other departmental administrators, including troubleshooting of computers and equipment.
Note: this position requires occasional travel to off-site locations within West Los Angeles, Santa Monica and the San Fernando Valley
Qualifications
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Visio, Access, Project, Outlook, Excel, and Word
Must be able to travel to various locations, including off-site locations within West Los Angeles, Santa Monica and the San Fernando Valley
Advanced skill in analyzing requests, recognizing and evaluating alternate pathways or solutions, making recommendations for more efficient/cost effective/desirable outcomes, processing requests, and verifying work completion of all requests and projects
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in order to interact with faculty and staff
Ability to bend, stoop, reach, walk and lift/move up to 25 pounds
Ability to take measurements of rooms, equipment, etc.

Ability to read floorplans and schematics, preferred
Working knowledge of University databases and systems, preferred
