Primary Job Function:

Substance abuse counselorwill be in charge with assisting patients throughmedically assistingtreatmentsand offering techniques for handlingopioidaddiction.Counselorconductsindividual sessions andgroupsessionsto assist withcrisis management and coping strategies.Counselor will evaluate patients progress during counseling andcollaborate with doctors, nurses andother counselorsto assist the patients achieving overall outcome.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Provide individual and group counseling services; direct service hours at regularly scheduled intervals; coordinate all services throughout treatment
  • ASAM placement assessment
  • Facilitates, establishes and reviews with each patient the initial treatment plan
  • Completes Bio-psychosocial assessment
  • Develop aftercare plans and discharge plans
  • Other related duties as determined by supervisor

Qualifications | Education | Certifications:

  • Previous experience working with chemically dependent individuals a plus. Must demonstrate a positive, non-judgmental, and accepting attitude toward our patient population
  • Candidate must be currently REGISTERED in the State of California with an established certifying agency and minimum of 1 year counseling experience
  • Satisfactory criminal background check and drug screen
