Rock-it Global is looking to expand our team of amazing Operations Agents in the LA area. We are looking for an enthusiastic, and proactive individual who is eager to grow and learn in a new and exciting logistics world. Rock-it Global is an award-winning freight forwarder and logistics company focusing on the entertainment industry, we bring the show to the road. Primary duties for this position include, but are not limited to, assisting the operations department in bookings for domestic and international freight forwarding as well as preparing the appropriate documentation for these shipments.
For over forty years, Rock-it has been a global leader within the entertainment specialty logistics industry. With 200+ employees in 28 offices worldwide, Rock-it handles many high-profile clients and events such as Taylor Swift Tour, The Getty Museum, Boeing, Cirque du Soleil and Coachella. We are excited to welcome a new member to the team here at Rock-it Los Angeles.
Essential Duties:
· Arrange domestic and international import/export shipments via air, trucking and ocean
· Assist operations department in bookings and documentation
· Maintain and cultivate customer and vendor relationships
· Follow-up with shippers and consignees to ensure quality and timeliness of shipments
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
· Basic freight forwarder knowledge a must.
· Ability to learn software programs quickly and adeptly is key
· Solid customer service skills
· Sharp organizational along with attention to detail and prioritization skills
· MS Outlook, Word, Excel
· Strong ability to handle time-sensitive issues
· Teamwork oriented
· Eager to learn
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required
· Pass a security background check
· Covid Vaccination
· Administrative/Operations/Logistics experience (1-3 years desired.)
· Must possess valid identification, preferably a valid California driver’s license
