A PhD is required.

The candidate will conduct research in one or more of the following areas that investigates the role of iron human health and disease; improving the diagnosis of iron disorders, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, lung cancer research, interstitial lung disease, and pulmonary vascular disease.The candidate is expected to participate in pulmonary and health sciences research, and will prepare and submit grant applications as necessary for career development and funding.

The candidate will also participate in teaching medical students, residents, and pulmonary fellows.

Creative activities can include, but are not limited to, publishing of research data, presenting at national meetings, community service, etc.
