All About Trees: Tree Climber

Job Description Tree Climber Pay: Based on Experience Qualifications: Six months of tree climbing, pruning and removal experience.

Working knowledge of knots, ropes and rigging devices.

Possess physical strength, agility and have good sight and hearing.

Be dependable and punctual.

Enjoy working outside.

Work as part of a team.

Have a valid Driver’s License.

Bi-lingual Spanish/English.

Over 18 years old.

Responsibilities: Perform all aspects of tree pruning and removal services safely, skillfully and according to industry standards.

Work from within the tree and from the ground using pole pruners, hedge trimmers, chainsaws and other trimming devices.

Operate brush chipper and stump grinder.

Drive trucks or operate other equipment as assigned.

Inspect, maintain, clean, sharpen and lubricate tools and equipment.

Set up jobsite with cones, signs, plywood, tarps, trash cans, ladders and tools to perform job requirements and provide worker, property and jobsite safety.

Gather and load brush, logs and debris often weighing 35 pounds or more and feed into brush chipper.

Clean up jobsite with rakes, brooms and blowers.

Perform other related work as assigned.

Work Safety: Personal Protective Equipment must be worn at all times.

Zero tolerance for alcohol or drug use during work hours.

COVID screening prior to hiring.

COVID vaccination highly encouraged.

Schedule: 8.5-hour shifts Overtime Monday thru Friday Occasional Saturday
