About the role
The Onboarding Trainer will support Material on helping to smoothly transition new hires to our company. The Onboarding Trainer will be pivotal in delivering a structured onboarding program to new hires. The ideal candidate will employ delivery best practices using a variety of formats including engaging presentations, videos, interactive activities and facilitated discussion. They combine a passion for teaching with an enthusiasm to creating meaningful learning experiences and forging relationships with employees.
In this role, you will
- Delivering virtual live trainings on a weekly basis to onboard and welcome new hires to Material
- Acquiring company knowledge in order to facilitate best practices in all trainings
- Collaborating with Learning and Development colleagues and other internal department teams to ensure a smooth onboarding experience
- Testing new and updated ways to facilitate the delivery of your content to meet the needs of the learners
About you
- 3- 5 + years of experience delivering employee training with an emphasis on onboarding training
- 3-5 + years working with internal/external customers
- Knowledge of adult learning principles
- Empowered to utilize the resources necessary to obtain knowledge at an accelerated pace from both formal and informal learning sources
- Familiar with using collaborative learning tools to drive learning and engagement (ie., Webex, Teams, etc.)
- A strong verbal and written communicator
- Experienced in facilitating and adapting the level of content complexity based on the backgrounds of your training audience
- Dedicated to a culture of continuous improvement, regularly seeking feedback
