Such assignments include:Supervising teams of subordinate staff processing voted ballots; troubleshooting precinct operational problems; preparing election related equipment; distributing and retrieving election materials; and developing and conducting election related training.Some assignments may require frequent heavy lifting over 25 lbs.

Depending on the nature of the various assignments, incumbents may work a definite short term basis or an indefinite longer term basis depending on the needs of the Department.Essential Job FunctionsAssists in developing training courses related to election processes by determining course content, preparing training outline, and determining the need for and kind of training visual aids.Prepares audio/visual equipment for training.Conducts training for election workshop.Assists in the designing, planning and organization of election workshops.Schedules, secures training rooms, and conducts election training classes.Obtains, organizes, or develops training procedure manuals, guides, or course materials, such as handouts or visual materials.Conducts orientation for potential pollworkers.Monitors, evaluates, and/or records training activities and/or program effectiveness.Assists in the development of alternative training methods if expected improvements are not seen.Assists in analyzing, training needs to develop new training programs or modify and improve existing programs.Drives to training locations to conduct training sessions.Delivers, sets up and breaks down training materials.RequirementsSELECTION REQUIREMENTSix months of full-time*, paid experience conducting training classes, seminars or workshops, or in video production.*Experience is evaluated on the basis of a verifiable 40-hour workweek.

This examination is intended to merely qualify applicants.
