Equipment Operator (2nd Shift) Location: Buena Park, CA Job ID#: 64478 Permanent Salary: $Open Job Summary Under minimal supervision, performs the setup and operation of various equipment including but not limited to semi and fully automated pick & place, solder paste stencil equipment, wave and convection solder reflow ovens, laser/ball welders, conformal coat and UV curing machines in accordance with established procedures. Actively participates in Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and provides suggestions for process improvements. Ensures parts in process are produced with exceptional quality by checking parts for conformance to specifications and recording Statistical Process Control (SPC) data as required. Primary ResponsibilitiesPerforms basic set ups and operates up machines to produce parts according to engineering direction and/or special instructions. Tend to machines by quickly and efficiently loading/replenishing feeders with reels of components, entering programs into automated placement machinery, setting up support fixtures, and prepping multiple assembly lines.Recognizes and detects machine out-of-tolerance and adjust controls or control media as required. Performs basic trial runs to check accuracy of machine settings or programmed control data. Recognizes and remedies minor machine malfunctioning and in-process inspections. Major discrepancies are reported to lead or supervisor.Completes quality assembly work in a timely mannerVisually inspects assemblies in process to ensure compliance to specifications, assembly drawings and industry standards.Fills out and maintains necessary paperwork. Ensures paperwork is compliant with quality instructions and manufacturing job instructionsManage component inventory and storage.Actively participates in the safety improvement activity in engineering lab. Basic Qualifications High school diploma or general education equivalentAt least five (5) or more years of experience in electromechanical assembly specifically working and maintaining precision equipment such as pick and place machines.Completion of IPC-A-610 or equivalent soldering certificate in J-STD-001Ability to follow demonstrated assembly methods and techniquesAbility to successfully assemble various configurations of final assembly and subassembly parts and componentsAbility to read and follow manufacturing and process specifications, engineering drawings and schematicsPrevious experience with small hand tools and soldering ironsComputer literate and skilled in excel.Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds ____________________________________________________________________ Butler America Aerospace, LLC. is proud to provide an equal opportunity workplace and be an affirmative action employer.
