Responsibilities:
Purpose: The Jr. Analyst will assist the department in compiling royalty data and in compliance examinations on behalf of our entertainment clients and other rights holders

Download and summarize royalty statements

Review and summarize music industry contracts (recording, publishing, etc.)

Combine and format large electronic datasets

Maintain organization of electronic files and folders

Analyze data to find underpayments of royalties and create claim schedules

Conduct internet research as needed

Assist managers with music royalty audits of record companies, music publishers, and merchandising companies on behalf of clients (multi-platinum and Grammy winning artists, writers and producers)

Qualifications:
Minimum Education- Bachelor’s Degree with major in Accounting, Economics or related major such as Music Management, Music Business, etc.Master’s Degree highly preferred

Advanced/Expert level proficiency in Excel: Pivot Tables, formulas, VLOOKUP & SMIFHighly desired but not required- Power Pivot, Power Query, Alteryx, Tableau & CURVE statement interface

Previous experience or education in the music business, royalties, music royalty audits
