We are seeking afull time,Documentation and Data Management Specialistto support a NASA contract in Greenbelt, MD.Responsibilities:Documentation and Data ManagementProvides intermediate-level support to the Documentation and Data Management Task.Working knowledge of SharePoint Site Collections, or other records management systems (RMS).Intermediate level of MS Office Suite experience.Experience with GSFC out of house projects preferred.Maintains detailed knowledge of required compliance documentation including Goddard Procedural Requirements (GPR 1440.8) Records Management, (400-PG-1440.7.2) Retention of Project Technical Records by the Code 400 Directorate Library and the NASA Policy Directive and the (NRRS 1441.1) NASA Record Retention Schedules.Work closely with Flight Project personnel to manage and maintain an organized Flight SharePoint structure.Point of contact (POC) between the JPSS Flight Project and JPSS IT for the records management within SharePoint.Understand SharePoint’s access controls well enough to be capable of translating a user’s request to reach a particular SharePoint location into a corresponding NAMS request.Serve as Flight’s backup approver for JPSS SharePoint NAMS roles.
When applicable, identify and confer with the approvers before granting access to restricted SharePoint locations.Provide back-up support to the JPSS Flight data management team.Interface with the Flight Project data management team members to coordinate common SharePoint events.Assist with facilitating the Flight CDRL delivery process.
Assist/cleanup metadata from vendors CDRLs, coordinate with JPSS Subject Matter Experts to leave comments during the review period, deliver comments contracting officers, and use SharePoint to copy accepted CDRLs to the MOT subsite.Conduct SharePoint user training sessions for the Flight Project and new employees.Create procedures to maximize the effectiveness of the Flight SharePoint and reports.Monitor daily SharePoint reports to ensure folder structures are followed.Prepare presentation charts and reports pertaining to the RMS.Coordinate with Program IT staff on Flight RMS tasks.Assist Flight project with obtaining and adding reference documents to the JPSS Reference Library (MIS).May lead other personnel in complex assignments.RequirementsAbility to take direction from leadership, distribute functions across a team, and keep track of structuring various tasks, employees, and policies.
Outstanding customer service skills with the ability to anticipate needs and create efficient process flows.
Must have excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Able to work with executive level customers and leadership.Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel PowerPoint, Outlook, and SharePoint preferred.
