Medical Reimbursement Specialist – Not Remote

This person needs to be a positive individual who enjoys working with a team and sees excellence as a priority.

We are looking for an individual with an excellent understanding of insurance billing/collections processes: EOBs & ICD-9/10.

Medical billing experience is mandatory.

Candidate must also have an understanding and working knowledge of the appeals and denials process with health insurance carriers.

Individual must be organized and possess excellent communication skills, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.THIS IS NOT A REMOTE POSITIONJob Responsibilities:Prepare and submit bills either electronically or by paperManage the bill process, including accurate and timely bill creation, follow-up and correspondence with providers, insurance inquiries/correspondence.Update mailing addresses, eligibility, maintain payer information, assist with verificationResearch and re-bill as necessary when returned for incomplete informationEnsure reimbursement through efficient, accurate and timely billing process for effective accounts receivable management.Work billing report for assigned payers.Utilize technology to manage clearinghouse or payor accept/reject submissions and reports.Protect the confidentiality of patient and organization information through effective controls and supervision of billing operations.Communicate professionally and effectively with insurance companies, staff and clinical personnel.Assist with special projects as neededQualifications:Minimum of 3 years of medical billing experienceWorker’s comp billing experience preferredStrong knowledge of billing and collection practicesExcellent customer service and telephone etiquetteExperience working with confidential medical informationStrong research and problem-solving skills; attentive to detailsAble to work independently and performs multiple tasks effectivelyExcellent oral, written and interpersonal skillsAbility to operate a computer and general office machinesStrong knowledge of Microsoft Excel preferredMust be self-directed, able to work independently, as well as work in a team-oriented and fast paced environmentWhy should you work with us?Advanced Rx Management supplies its employees with the knowledge and momentum to grow and expand their careers.
