Find your future with us.The Boeing Company is looking for a Certification Process Engineer to join either location REMOTELY in Seal Beach CA, Huntington Beach CA, Huntsville AL, Mesa AZ, Oklahoma City OK, or Saint Louis MO.The Certification Process Engineer (Level 4) will be responsible for the development, execution, and leadership of a unified certification strategy and critical actions to integrate certification within the organization and across Product Capability Teams.

In this role you will work closely with all facets of the program and certification representatives for both commercial and military aviation to implement, review and refine strategies, plans and define processes and certification artifacts in conjunction with other team members to support product certification.

This role is a unique opportunity to introduce and unify certification, design, development, test, and sustainment, to advance Boeings capabilities, skills, and people in a DevSecOps environment.This position requires strong technical leadership experience covering a number of certification engineering disciplines and experience engaging with Program, Division and Enterprise leadership.

You will be expected to leverage One Boeing in the development, execution, and refinement of the certification strategies in areas such as Systems, Hardware, Software and Modeling & Simulation.Thisposition allows telecommuting and does require applicants to live in either Seal Beach CA, Huntington Beach CA, Huntsville AL, Mesa AZ, Oklahoma City OK, or Saint Louis MO full-time.Position Responsibilities:Leads activities to develop, document and maintain complex architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software systemsLeads development of code and integration of complex software components into a fully functional software systemDevelops software verification plans, test procedures and test environments, executing the test procedures and documenting test results to ensure software system requirements are metProvides technical leadership for software projects and leads software supplier management activitiesLeads development, selection, tailoring and deployment of processes, tools and metricsLeads software research and development projectsServes as a subject matter expert for software domains, system-specific issues, processes and regulationsTracks and evaluates software team and supplier performance to ensure product and process conformance to project plans and industry standardsTrains and mentors othersWorks under consultative direction This position allows telecommuting.

The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at the listed location option.This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S.

Security Clearance for which the U.S.

Government requires U.S.

Citizenship.

An interim and/or final U.S.

Secret Clearance Post-Start is required Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience):Bachelor’s, Master’s or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry5+ years of experience with government certifications processes5+ years of experience in software engineering with defining and implementing processExperience with DO-178 standards and compliance Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):Active Security ClearanceExperience and understanding of configuration status accounting processesUnderstand complex architectural and networking concepts to enhance business process and service deliveryDemonstrate strong problem resolution and process management skills and stakeholder management.

Typical Education/Experience:?Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.G.

Bachelor) and typically 10 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.G.

PhD+9 years’ related work experience, Master+8 years’ related work experience).In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.Relocation:?Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position.
