Responsibilities:
  Job Purpose

 

The Houseman/Banquet Setup play a vital role on the Banquets Team by ensuring meetings and events are correctly set-up to guarantee a memorable experience for members, families, and guests.

 The ideal candidate thrives in a hospitality environment and highly focused on providing superior service to our members and guests.

 

Responsibilities

Tear-down and set-up meeting and event rooms daily. This may include stripping furniture and resetting the room per the specifications outlined by the BEO (Banquet Event Order)

Move and store equipment and banquet supplies such as tables, chairs, risers, dance floor, and linen

Clean the meeting and event rooms. This includes, but is not limited to straightening chairs, clearing the used dishes and glassware from the tables, straightening the chairs, changing soiled table linen, and emptying trash

Participate as a team member with Banquet Servers, Banquet Bartenders, Banquet Bar-backs, Banquet Cooks, Banquet Captains, Banquet Manager in producing a smoothly and efficiently run operation that meets the highest standards of customer service

Qualifications:
Qualifications

At least 18 years old

Previous banquet server/cater waiter experience a plus

Excellent customer service skills

Reliable transportation

 

Education

High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)

Working Conditions

Days and hours of work vary by schedule and business needs.

Evening, weekend, and vacation work will be required.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to stand for long periods of time, to walk, read, hear, talk, balance, climb, use hands, use fingers, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, smell, taste, push or pull.  The employee may be required to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required for this position include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus.
