Associate Attorney

Termechi Employment Law Group is seeking an employment law associate to join its Woodland Hills office.

No experience is required, but a general understanding of employment law and/or litigation experience is preferred.

Recent law school graduates are encouraged to apply.

This is not a remote position.

Appearance at the Woodland Hills office is required Monday through Friday.

Must be admitted to the California bar, have strong academic credentials, excellent legal writing skills, and interest in employment litigation.

Must have the ability to work independently and must be highly organized and motivated.

Associate will be expected to handle a caseload of approximately 30 to 40 cases at a time, with the guidance of the supervising attorney.

Associate will be involved in all aspects of each case from inception (e.g.

determining viable claims to pursue, client interviews, and drafting the initial complaint or demand letter).

Associates are also expected to handle the day-to-day case work, with the direction of the lead attorney, such as drafting stipulations and motions, propounding and responding to discovery, meeting and conferring with opposing counsel, engaging in settlement negotiations, taking and defending depositions, preparing mediation briefs, reviewing documents, etc.

The firm practices labor and employment law exclusively, with a focus on single plaintiff wrongful termination and wage and hour claims.

The firm predominantly represents employees, but occasionally represents small businesses as well.

Termechi Employment Law Group is a boutique law firm that is growing very quickly.

The associate will have the opportunity to grow with the firm.

$65k-90k per year (DOE) plus commissions, annual bonus, and annual raise.
