Office Coordinator

Position Overview:

The Therapy Aide will assist our team of administrative staff with providing the highest quality of service to our clients, as well as our team of Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapists.

Requirements:

  • Must have 2-3 years of customer service experience and/or 1-3 years experience working in a therapy setting
  • Must be confident, personable, a team player and a self-starter who is able to work independently
  • Strong organizational skills are required
  • Computer competence across Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) with the ability to quickly learn a variety of other online software systems
  • Working knowledge of patient records system (Raintree) is preferred
  • Must love interacting with children
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. while assisting therapists with handling and spotting during therapy sessions is required.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with maintaining the cleanliness of the clinic by wiping down mats, cleaning toys, cleaning all areas of the clinic, washing and folding towels, general straightening, organizing therapy supplies, etc.
  • Assist therapists in facilitating treatment as needed by assisting with the preparation and organization of the therapy floor, therapy rooms, equipment and other key resources.
  • Continuously accesses the needs of the therapy floor and problem solves issues as needed.
  • May be assigned special projects by the therapists including, but not limited to: making copies of documents, laminating documents, planning craft projects and taking inventory of supplies.
  • Provide back up to the front desk staff answering phones, checking in patients, etc.

Physical Demands:

While performing the essential functions of this job, the incumbent must be able to do the following: stand for extended periods; sit for extended periods; bend and reach for filing and other job-related functions; climb up and down stairs; bend, stoop, and lift to move and retrieve materials; pull, push, and lift up to 50 lbs; reach both above and below shoulder height. Specific visual abilities include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to visually inspect work. Manual dexterity to operate computer and other office equipment required.
