In addition to housing members of our sales team, the corporate office includes quoting, customer service, underwriting, retention, renewal, individual sales and large group consulting services.

As a New Case Advocate you would be Responsible for the review and completion of applications for group medical plans sold to employers before and after submission to carriers and would work closely with Account executives, sales support, management, agent/brokers, employer group-contacts, insurance company representatives.
ResponsibilitiesReview and qualify all new small business cases for submission to the major medical carriers.Follow-up with in-house underwriting requirements with account executives, brokers, or groups.Submit cases to carriers and follow through to ensure timely approval.Follow-up with carriers to determine if case(s) have been approved or if additional requirements are needed.Send Notice of Approval to account executives, broker and/or group.Assist account executives, brokers/agents, and Sales manager as needed.Generate quotes in carrier system and verify accuracy of the sold rates.Process and enter/upload groups using various carrier proprietary systems.Stay informed on the current carrier promotions and educate account executives, brokers and groups as needed.Collaborate with account executives to offer options and/or solutions for unique cases using industry and carrier knowledge.Build relationships and rapport with carrier underwriters.Ability to prioritize urgent cases and meet deadlines and turnaround times especially during the busiest times of the year (4th Quarter)Periodically review and ensure that we have the correct versions of applications and employer documents saved in our system.Review carrier audit reports and use them to ensure future clean submissions (Meet each carrier’s clean and complete requirements)QualificationsPrior Small Business Group Underwriting experience is a preferred/plus.Be able to work well under the time constraints presented by regular and frequent deadlines.
Prompt responses to both written and verbal inquiries.Collaborate with all parties involved to get groups approved and meet deadlines.Competent ability to work on multiple projects is preferred.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.Excellent prioritization skills.Internet savvy as some cases need extensive web research.Must possess strong knowledge of various carrier requirements and procedures and keep up with updates about changes.Knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Sharepoint, Excel, Word, etc.…) Salesforce, Benefix, Ebix experience is a plus.Equal Opportunity Employment We’re an equal opportunity employer.
