About the Opportunity

Working Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, you have the opportunity to join a multi-site, multispecialty, state of the art group of providers that was founded in 1984. Over the past four decades DLP Eye Clinic has treated more than 400,000 patients!

Responsible for clinical and diagnostic testing responsibilities. Must be efficient and properly assist with greeting patients in a professional, courteous manner and obtaining and documenting pertinent medical and ophthalmic patient history on the appropriate forms. Assigned Lead Technician may utilize this role in ways needed to ensure optimization of patient flow and provider schedule.

Some Saturday availability from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm is required, and there is frequently an opportunity for overtime.

Travel to other De La Pena Eye Clinic sites may be required, although infrequent, throughout the greater Los Angeles area.

About the Candidate

The ideal candidate will have experience with retina procedure setup in addition to other general ophthalmology experience. This individual will be bilingual in English/Spanish and have a strong interest in continuing his or her career in this specialty.

Minimum Requirements:

Bilingual English/Spanish required
Retina procedure setup experience required
High school diploma, GED or equivalent
One (1) or more years of experience in a customer service setting, which could include a work study program, externship programs, and similar work history
Traveling required
Current BLS certification or the ability to obtain BLS certification prior to start
Demonstrated proficiency with computers, multi-line phones, and other office equipment

Preferred Qualifications:

Ophthalmology experience is strongly preferred
Experience with EMR
