Job DescriptionPurpose of the Job:Manufacturing Equipment Maintenance Technician; functions including, but not limited to: maintaining running equipment, troubleshooting and repairing broken equipment, installation of new equipment, modifications to existing equipment, preventative and predictive maintenance of production machines.CNCs, Polishers, High Vacuum Equipment, Metrology, wet bench cleaners.Key Areas of Responsibility (KAR’s):Maintain and repair industrial pneumatic, hydraulic, electric, and mechanical equipment, including manual and CNC machining centers, surface grinders, and large polishers, high vacuum equipment.Troubleshoot to the piece part level; recommend and perform required repairs, including part requisition and replacement, with minimal impact to shop productivity.Be able to read and research electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical schematics and parts diagrams.Be able to use multi-meters and other hand tools.Be familiar with lock-out/tag out procedures.Must be able to work safely and follow policies and procedures in an industrial environment under minimal supervision.Must possess effective communication skills and basic PC skills.Must maintain continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs to supervisors and co-workers on all shifts.Candidate will be required to wear PPE where appropriate and embrace ASML 8S requirements.Can work independently, with limited supervision needed to sustain productivity.Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, solvents, machine coolant, grinding and polishing slurry.Will also be exposed to electrical, mechanical, pneumatic or hydraulic energy, laser energy, magnetic fields.Key Issues Facing Your Job:Continuous Improvement of the maintenance program; from enhancing preventive & predictive maintenance,to acquiring and safe guarding critical spare parts.Ability to procure replacement of parts unavailable to commercially acquire direct part replacements.Documentation and communication of maintenance performed, in progress statuses, generate Maintenance Orders for ongoing needs.Key Decisions:Equipment Support Technician; must be skilled troubleshooter to quickly identify root cause of an unscheduled failure, then effective to execute repair in reasonable time frame.Majority of time should be spent on planned maintenance, whether repair or PMs, this requires attention to detail and care during performance of these tasks to be effective at preventing fails or equipment faults.

Must be self-driving to ensure they are adding value daily to Optical Fabrication, and can be counted on to identify equipment needs on their own, and when assigned tasks will drive it to completion.

EducationElectro-mechanical education: AA degree, Technician Certification, Military, or equivalent experience.

ExperienceProven knowledge (3-8 Years) of machine repair/maintenance and/or related technical experience.Strong analytical and problem solving skills – capable of translating requirements into executable actions.Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines and manage changing priorities.Ability to effectively communicate one on one and in small groups to operators, management, engineers, suppliers, and customer reps.
