Industrial Maintenance Tech

Primary Responsibilities Troubleshoot and repair all types of industrial equipment.Must be able to read prints and electrical schematics and use all test meters and equipment, such as: ohmmeters, voltage meters, oscilloscopes, ammeters, and test lamps.Assist in installation of service for new equipment for voltages ranging from 110V to 416V, single phase and three phase, DC drives, numerical controls, welding machines, and hydraulic systems.Confer with management to resolve maintenance problems and recommend measures to improve operations and conditions of machines and equipment, and to insure the safety of personnel.Additional ResponsibilitiesWork with minimum supervision.Provide on-the-job training to new employees.Follow all safety and health procedures issued by the company.Knowledge and Skill RequirementsBasic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required.

This is normally acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent.Ability to read tape measure accurately.Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and computers.Ability to lift up to 50 pounds required.1 year of industrial experience required.Working ConditionsWorking conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment.

Work involves lifting of materials up to 50 pounds.

Machinery and tool operation requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to; eye safety glasses, hearing protectors, steel toed work boots, and gloves.PPE RequiredSafety glasses, ear protection, steel toed boots, and gloves.

Use of grinder/ welding equipment requires face shield or goggles.Fall Protection AssessmentThis will be assessed at the beginning of each work order during the planning stage.
