Field Equipment Technician

Duties And Responsibilitiesn Facilitate and oversee installations and start-ups of newly sold equipment.

Provide warrantee service on equipment sold by Ernest Packaging Solutions.

Train EPS customers on the care and operation of equipment sold by Ernest Packaging Solutions.

Maintain, modify and repair equipment at Ernest Packaging Solutions.

Ensure that billing for services is administered correctly when appropriate.

Maintain files on all Ernest Packaging Solutions customers who utilize equipment in their operations.

Pass on information to management regarding customer needs and/or problems that are found while at billable service calls.

Promote and sale of Preventative Maintenance Programs at all Ernest Packaging Solutions customers who utilize equipment in their operations.

Responsible for the ordering and inventory of necessary space and replacement parts for Ernest Packaging Solutions customers who utilize equipment in their operations.

Continually update and train on new lines of equipment that Ernest Paper Products, Inc.

carries.

Maintain Demo equipment, and keep inspection reports every time machinery comes in and goes out.

n n Qualificationsn Excellent customer/communication skills.

Ability to work in a fast pace environment.

Ability to prioritize work with little direction or in an unsupervised environment.

Ability to identify and resolve customer problems to minimize production downtime.

Must have technical proficiency (Mechanical and Electrical).

Ability to source parts from a variety of vendors.

Ability to read equipment and electrical schematics/drawings.

Ability to diagnose the source of a problem with a piece of equipment and develop a plan for repair.

Ability to determine customer needs, and make sales presentations on the appropriate equipment.

Ability to work flexible schedule including weekends, evenings, and holidays.

Ability to work in varying environments, such as indoors and outdoors.

Electrical/Electronic Degree, Associates Degree, Mechanic or Field Experience.

Valid Driver’s License (as mandated by state and location) with good driving history.

Ability to travel (for training and project work at company divisions).
