Regional Marketing Specialist

The JD/ Finish Line Regional Marketing Specialist serves as the connection point between the JD/ Finish Line US Marketing and Brand teams and the consumer experience in key locations throughout the West region of the United States.

The JD/ Finish Line Regional Marketing Specialist is the local expert on anything and everything for our West consumers.

From understanding sneaker culture and local style to knowing every brand touchpoint in the stores top-to-bottom, front-to-back, the JD/ Finish Line Regional Marketing Specialist will champion the JD and Finish Line brand experiences in the market at every touchpoint.

This individual should effectively exhibit JD Finish Line’s core values of Customer, People, Winning, Community, and Financial Responsibility in everything they do by performing the following main duties: Identify competitive threats and opportunities regionally.

Provide market-level insights on consumer and product to feed into marketing and merchant org seasonally.

Identify market-level opportunities for partnerships, media, events.

Partner with Area Managers on issues, opportunities and quick resolution to local marketing concerns.

Support resource for regional photography / influencer partners.

Identify mall-based marketing opportunities and develop partnership with mall marketing managers.

Provide on-site execution ownership on key market events and unique executions with brand partners.

Obsesses the details of the retail experience in the store environment through the lens of exceeding the consumer’s expectations of athletic specialty retail.

Plays a key role on the in-store innovation team by representing the voice of the consumer and the opportunities to engage and connect through digital integration into the store environment.

Ensures that all in-store marketing and digital experiences are 100% executed to brand standards and service levels.

Puts the customer experience first by being empowered to facilitate corrections or bug fixes to printed or digital marketing touchpoints in key locations –
– no matter the time of day or day of the week.

Provides timely proof of execution reports for all digital and physical retail marketing programs in stores.

Attends in-market brand partner product knowledge education sessions and cultural events as needed.

Required Education and/or Experience Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in Marketing, Advertising or Communications from a four-year college or university or equivalent combination of education and experience.

1-2 years of marketing, digital and/or retail experience required.

Required Computer and/or Technical Skills Should have basic to intermediate knowledge and abilities with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Should be well-versed and a power user of current social media platforms including Instagram, SnapChat and Facebook.

Understanding of Google Cloud platform and tools helpful.

Ability to write and present policies and procedures for publication that conform to prescribed style and format.
