Non-profit Interim Finance Director needed immediately for a minimum of three months to manage all accounting operations and internal and external financial reporting for a non-profit organization located in Salt Lake City.
This tech-savvy interim position will report to the Executive Director and support the organizations strategic goals.
This is a part-time role for 20-25 hours per week.
Position Responsibilities Oversee and reconcile financial transactions and ensure strict adherence to fund and grant accounting Oversee and reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, pledge schedules Reconcile all balance sheet accounts Review accounting for complex grant/fund transactions Prepare adjusting, reconciling and closing journal entries Prepare financial reporting for the board and provide projections and analysis Manage administrative and operational accounting services Prepare billing for government contracts and grants Maintain proper contract management processes and protocols Reconcile, monitor and follow-up on account receivables Monitor departmental key performance indicators for specific business activities Ensure regulatory compliance Support a culture of high-quality work, team collaboration and continuous improvement Assist with ad hoc projects as assigned Requirements Business or Accounting degree required, a masters level preferred Minimum 3 years of non-profit accounting experience, and strong understanding of nonprofit finance and accounting regulations Expert level accounting software (Sage Intacct preferred) and/or fund accounting software Strong Data / Microsoft Excel / Microsoft Powerpoint / Word / Access Knowledge of Sage Intacct or similar system, as well as fund accounting software Experience with systems/process integration to improve operational and business performance.
