Job Description: The 777-9 ALIT Integration organization in Everett, WA is seeking a Systems Engineer that will support the Airplane Connectivity ecosystem across a span of remaining development lab and flight tests and then transition into a sustaining program and customer-focused job role, including customer demonstration activities.

This assignment involves learning about and supporting the remaining Connectivity test execution with several Cabin and Network Systems, both airborne and ground-based.

From Onboard Network Systems to Crew Wireless, to the newest Aircraft Interface Device (AID) connecting via cellular, Gatelink (Wi-Fi), and both Ka
– and L-band Satcom systems, this environment will provide exposure to the Operational and Maintenance aspects of the Connectivity ecosystem.

Going into a more sustainable future, the assignment will include working with Customer Engineering for general connectivity information, Feature Strategy for options and customer changes, Cabin and Network Systems for new technology offerings, and coordination of customer demonstrations from lab-related to airplane-related.

This could also include involvement in the 777-FX and connectivity offerings with the freighter airplane.

Applicable and appropriate educational/certification credentials from an accredited institution and/or equivalent experience is required.

Primary Responsibilities: Manage all top level connectivity systems engineering artifacts or baselines for the airplane flight test and production system including bi-weekly performance to plan forum.

Coordinate daily activities around execution of connectivity test requirements, problem reports, squawk disposition and meeting forums (IERB, ITT).

Support Customer Services 777-9 Airline Working Together team (WTT) and lead Connectivity updates in support of airline action and caucus items.

Develop systems engineering plans and associated processes to resolve open connectivity related Problem Reports (PRs) Lead the development and execution of customer related connectivity demonstration use cases.

Support development of ConOps and operational architectures including ground based support tools (LSAPL, UMD).

Build and maintain collaborative relationships across various functional and partner organizations including both internal (BGS & BT&E) and external suppliers.

Represent ALEI SE&I in airplane level design trade studies Provide independent validation and verification and expertise to program stakeholders and leadership.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience): Bachelor, Master, or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry 1 or more years experience in engineering classification The applicant must be able to support domestic or international travel to support our customers as required, although this is not typical.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Experience with Network Systems, Cellular or Wi-Fi technologies, Computing development and applications, Lab testing experience Bachelors Degree or higher in Aerospace Engineering or Systems Engineering Experience in the entire development lifecycle of commercial airplanes and/or production systems Experience as a Systems Engineer, leading systems engineering, integration or test activities Experience in Systems Engineering framework, including ConOps development, requirements validation & verification, functional analysis & integration, change impact analysis, and trade studies Typical Education/Experience: Level 3: Bachelor’s degree and typically 5 or more years’ experience in an engineering classification or a Master’s degree with typically 3 or more years’ experience in an engineering classification or a PhD degree with experience in an engineering classification.

Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.

ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Level 4: Bachelor’s degree and typically 9 or more years’ experience in an engineering classification or a Master’s degree with typically 7 or more years’ experience in an engineering classification or a PhD degree with typically 4 or more years’ experience in an engineering classification.

Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.

ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Relocation: This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.

Remote Type: This position is expected to be 100% onsite.

The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Everett, WA.
