JOB SUMMARY:

This is a hands-on technical position. The Business Systems Analyst will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, modifying-configuring, testing, monitoring, installing changes, and all related activities for production support of our SAP ERP 6.0 EHP8 and SoH environment in MM/PP/WM/QM models. The Analyst will conduct and facilitate workshops with business partners to gather requirements for complex business processes.

The Analyst will architect the solution to meet business requirements. The Analyst will perform the necessary configuration and provide functional specifications to developers to convert the requirements into a business solution. The Analyst will perform unit testing, E2E testing, and integration testing to deliver robust, scalable, and high-quality solutions in agile environment. The Analyst will transfer business process, application design, and configuration knowledge to the other team members. The Analyst will be responsible to manage Incident resolution, Change Requests completion, and small to medium project implementation in the area of procure to pay, plan to stock, and warehouse management. The Analyst will also be responsible to manage the design of the relevant master data: material master, vendor master, batch master, serial number, equipment master, etc.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide strong technical expertise and perform configuration in SAP Material management (MM), SAP Production Planning (PP), and SAP Warehouse Management (WM) module
  • Perform production support for the tickets as per the SLA submitted by end users via Remedy system
  • Propose and execute configuration changes and/or enhancements to the existing system to resolve production support issues
  • Update the status of assigned tickets in Remedy system and inform business units accordingly on real-time basis
  • Communicate with end-users, providing training support (as needed) and working within agreed-upon production support service level agreements for the Incidents
  • Consult and work with all the business management and analyst stakeholders to gather requirements for solving business problems and defining new business processes
  • Design and develop solutions in the functional area of procurement, planning, production, warehouse, and logistics for multiple companies in North America Region using the latest available SAP functionalities and best business practices
  • Coordinate development activities with other analysts and developers
  • Develop, document plan, and perform Unit testing, regression testing, negative testing, E2E testing, and performance testing
  • Create and maintain the following change documentation: Process flows, Functional Specifications, Test Scripts, and Training document
  • Train the internal IT wherever required and the Business users and management for the new SAP functionalities
  • Remain up to date with the new releases and features of SAP by reviewing SAP release notes, periodicals, forums, OpenSAP, and technical reports
  • Coordinate with other SAP teams and team members; like SAP different module experts, SAP Security, SAP Basis, IT Infrastructure – Hardware, Server, and Network teams, SAP ABAP developers, SAP Reporting, and Middleware
  • Follow the SAP best practices for resolving the Incidents and deploying the Change Requests – Process analysis, Master Data analysis, Configuration and/or Development possibilities, Testing, and deploying

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Must have at least 6-8 years of hands-on technical experience with SAP ECC with expert knowledge in SAP Material Management (MM), SAP Production Planning (PP) and SAP
  • Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), SAP Warehouse Management (WM), SAP Inventory Management (IM) modules, and of SAP in a discrete lean manufacturing environment.
  • Must have deep technical knowledge of configuring Purchase Requisitions, Purchase Orders, STOs, Intercompany, Release Strategy, Transfer Orders, Picking Strategy, Goods Movements, MRP, Material Master, Equipment Master, Serial Number Management and Batch Management, Purchasing Info Records, Source List, EDI/Idoc/RFC in SAP
  • Must know integration of PP/MM/WM modules with SD, CS, and FICO modules of SAP
  • Must have experience with at least 2 full cycle implementations in SAP PP/MM/WM/IM modules
  • Should have experience in implementing SAP in lean manufacturing environment
  • Must be willing to learn new SAP modules, 3rd party applications/technologies
  • Experience in the medical device industry and in the FDA-regulated environment is desirable
  • Knowledge and experience in implementation of SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM), S4 HANA, SAP Manufacturing Execution (ME) / Manufacturing Intelligence and Integration (MII) will be added advantage
  • Expert knowledge of Change Management, Release Management, Agile, ASAP, and other project management methodologies
  • Skilled in the use of the following productivity tools: MS Outlook, MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and MS Project and Visio are required
  • Strong debugging, problem-solving, root cause analysis skills and ability to read SAP ABAP programming code
  • Excellent English communication skills (Written, Listening, Verbal, and Presentation) with the ability to sell concepts and ideas to a diverse range of internal customers
  • Good team player as well as a self-driven individual performer
  • Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems
  • Ability to balance the goals of the company while maintaining adequate controls and accurate records

EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in computer science; advanced degree preferred
  • 6-8 years of work-related experience as an SAP Business Analyst
  • Certified in SAP MM, PP, QM, or S/4 HANA
  • Certification in SAP other modules, CPIM, CSCP, PMP, and Agile preferred
