Human Resources Specialist-Urology

Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for processing Academic and Staff onboarding/offboarding, staff payroll, applicable UCPATH transactions, leaves of absences and other duties as assigned.

You will report directly to the Director of Academic and Staff Personnel .

You will be provided with specific objectives and tasks but must use initiative and independent judgment in determining the best approach to accomplishing stated objectives.

Qualifications

2+ years of experience working in the human resources field
Comprehensive knowledge of personnel and payroll transaction processes and employee benefits preferred
Knowledge of UC Payroll and Personnel Systems, such UCPath and HBS preferred
Skill in using PC and Microsoft Office Suite software applications to produce correspondence, mail merges, database information, spreadsheets and custom reports.
Ability to write and edit grammatically correct business correspondence.
Working knowledge of University staff personnel policies and procedures and labor contracts preferred
Working knowledge of the Work-Study program policies and procedures preferred
Skill in dealing with confidential matters with tact, sensitivity, and discretion
Skill in writing to prepare letters, emails and memos
Ability to maintain a positive working relationship with co-workers, supervisors, and faculty
Knowledge of information resources within the University preferred
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related field strongly preferred
2+ years of experience working in the human resources field
Comfortable speaking in front of both large and small groups
