Job Description AAFCPAs is looking for a dynamic A & A Manager to join our commercial practice team. This experienced CPA will review, summarize, and communicate A&A changes to the firm, including suggesting changes to procedures, work paper documentation, etc. The role will work closely with the A&A committee to implement new standards and maintain consistent application. Will select and ensure appropriate training of all staff members. This is a great opportunity for an accounting professional with a passion for research and looking for less travel within the public accounting field As part of the AAFCPAs team, the A&A Manager will be responsible for: Keeps up to date with regulatory changes and new pronouncements. Keeps the firm and clients apprised of changes in a proactive and timely manner. Assesses software packages and is involved with its implementation Identifies innovative and more efficient ways to conduct our work while adhering to quality standards Oversees the A&A commercial group, providing research and direction for group projects in preparation for training. Attends trainings (internal & external) to stay up to date with changes. Researches, plans, organizes and conducts training sessions. Researches and prepares material for new training sessions. Reviews, evaluates, and modifies existing and proposed materials and recommends appropriate changes. Provides responses to requests for research or second opinions in a timely manner. Shares knowledge with team members to ensure professional development. Communicates regularly with the partners to keep the group informed of current and upcoming tasks, projects and training sessions. Maintains and shares current technical knowledge in the audit and accounting fields. Prepares and distributes training aids such as instructional material, handouts, evaluation forms and visual aids. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting CPA 5 – 7 years of external commercial auditing within Public Accounting or Private Sector commercial accounting work Additional Information We offer a competitive salary, benefits, and CPE.
