Insight Global is looking for 8 Labor and Delivery nurses to work for a large healthcare client in Los Angeles, CA. The L&D RN will be responsible for assessing the patient, monitoring the mother’s and baby’s vital signs, patient evaluation, and providing care in accordance with established nursing standards of care, policies, and procedures. This hospital averages 150-200 deliveries per month where the Registered Nurse will be responsible for immediate newborn care. They will also need to be well-versed in high-risk pregnancies/births and maintain adaptability to be able to respond quickly to changes in symptoms throughout the labor and birthing period. The L&D nurse will also be required to rotate into the OR to assist with C-section circulation and may be required to float to post-partum as well. The schedule will be 3-12 hours shifts with rotating weekends (Sat and Sun) required.
– Previous experience in post-partum
– Experience with Epic
– 1+ years of experience in Labor and Delivery
– Active and valid CA RN License
– Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
– NRP Certification (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
– Advanced Fetal Monitoring Certification
– ACLS Certification (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
– BLS Certification (Basic Life Support)
– Good communication
– Flexibility/Ability to adapt
