Innovative Therapy Development Manager, CRM – West Coast

Our locations along the West Coast currently havan opportunity for an Innovative Therapy Development Manager, CRM.

As a member of the new Professional Development organization, you will be responsible for implementing therapy awareness and market access strategies to support successful patient access to the innovative therapies at Abbott. This includes implementation of the overarching US strategy targeting marketing, branding, awareness, and market access initiatives such as pathway and protocol development across multiple stakeholders such as clinicians, hospital administration, hospital C-suite and cardiovascular societies.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Deploy successful market development activities for hospitals, clinicians (both implanting and referring)

  • Create and implement short- and long-term strategic plans to align to business objectives based on regional needs

  • Establish and maintain strong cross functional relationships with the US commercial organization at the Area and Regional level

  • Deploy market development tactics and strategies for integration into the sales and marketing of the CRM portfolio

  • Present economic models, value dossiers, and other materials to articulate and enhance the value message associated with all new innovative therapies

  • Target referring centers with education and awareness campaigns, in parallel with field sales efforts, to maximize patient access to the therapies

  • Develop tools, insights, and amplified value-propositions that drive procedural depth in accounts with Marketing and deploy with the US commercial team

  • Execute the plan with US cardiovascular societies and KOLs to expand knowledge and adoption of innovative therapies

  • Identify subject matter experts (physicians and allied professionals), for speaking, providing peer to peer training, and collaborating with our Clinical and R&D groups

  • Develop relationships with Clinicians at all levels; Fellows, EP, Cardiologists, Electrophysiology, AHP/APP, Hospital Administration

  • Assist with Target Account Identification and gather competitive intelligence

  • Partner cross functionally with Marketing, Professional Education and Commercial Excellence teams as needed to establish and lead the development of priorities and resource management

  • Maintain budget awareness of spending to meet department goals

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING 

Required 

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • A minimum of 7-10 years of MedTech related Marketing, Health Economics, Reimbursement or Market Access expertise with demonstrated success

  • Hands-on experience developing and launching field-campaigns, health-economics programs, and clinical selling tools

  • Experience with the US market access environment and ability to effectively communicate and incorporate regional requirements in overall strategic plans is required.

  • Demonstrated experience successfully working across field-organizations to implement sophisticated marketing, messaging, clinical, and economic-based messages/programs/campaigns targeting products with little-to-no market precedent

  • Understanding of key public and private payer policy infrastructure, payment methodologies coding and coverage

  • Experience working with (presenting to, partnering/negotiating with) customers (payers, hospitals, and physicians), patients, professional and medical organizations and ability to develop mutually beneficial health economics and reimbursement strategies and tactics to support portfolio planning, commercialization, and sales/marketing objectives

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred 

  • MBA preferred

  • Knowledge of key societies within cardiovascular and proven track record to communicate and collaborate effectively to develop our structural heart market

  • Insight and understanding of key KOLs within cardiovascular to develop a KOL strategy and help expand the US KOL base

  • Experience in identifying and driving operational change and excellence

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross functional teams

  • Ability to travel approximately 50% – 75%
