POSITION DESCRIPTION: Architect – Project Manager

Page & Turnbull, an award-winning preservation architecture and planning firm, has an immediate need for an experienced project manager/architect to lead project efforts in the Los Angeles area.

Established in 1973, Page & Turnbull is one of the first architecture and planning firms in California and one of the longest practicing firms in the country dedicated to historic preservation.

Our staff includes licensed architects, designers, architectural historians, planners and conservators who approach each project with imagination and flexibility.

Oriented to a high level of design and our client’s time and budget, we are committed to bringing new life to existing buildings.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Develop and manage project work plans, budgets, & schedules.

· Prepare a variety of studies and reports, including, but not limited to: Design Studies, Existing Conditions Assessments; Feasibility Studies; Code Analysis; and Historic Structure Reports.

· Assume project manager and/or project architect role on architecture projects, as prime or sub consultant.

· Prepare contract documents.

· Collaboratively manage teams for large projects and work individually on smaller projects simultaneously.

Manage Client Communication.

· Supervise/mentor junior staff.

REQUIREMENTS:

· 7-10 years professional experience.

· A professional degree in Architecture.

· Architectural licensure (preferably in California).

· Proven ability to manage clients and meet their expectations.

· A proven record of delivering projects within an agreed to schedule and budget.

· Meet the National Park Service’s Professional Qualification Standards (Code of Federal Regulations, 36 CFR Part 61) for Historic Architecture or Architecture.

· Fluency in the Microsoft Office program suite

· Fluency in REVIT

· Communicative, self-motivated, enthusiastic, dependable and interested in professional growth.

PREFERRED QUALITIES:

· Fluency in rendering tools, free-hand and electronic.

· LEED accreditation.

· Experience rehabilitating or adaptively re-using historic buildings.

· Familiarity with historic building technologies and materials.

· Strong graphic and presentation skills.

· Knowledge of Los Angeles/Southern California architecture.

· Commitment to participation in a professional organization.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00
– $110,000.00 per year

COVID-19 considerations:
All staff are currently working remotely.

We expect to be working on a hybrid schedule with flexible in office and remote working starting later in the summer.

Staff are expected to provide evidence of receiving the COVID vaccine.

Bachelor’s (Preferred)

Revit: 4 years (Preferred)
Architectural: 7 years (Preferred)
