User Interface Designer

Summary

Pluto TV’s Product Design team is currently looking for a User Interface Designer to join us.

This role will create and refine the visual design of components within our shared libraries that are used to create experiences on various platforms that host the Pluto TV service.

This contribution will improve consistency and team velocity.

The role will report to the Sr.

Product Designer managing our Venetia design system.

Responsibilities

This is a meaningful role with a wide range of responsibilities such as:

  • Creating high fidelity components within our shared libraries.

  • Constructing these components with a high level of detail and consideration for taxonomy, layer management, and auto layout properties.

  • Support other members of the product design team when creating flow diagrams, storyboards, and mockups.

  • Use hardwon user experience insights from research and quantitative analysis to inform UI design decisions.

  • Assist product designers and project managers by creating clickable prototypes.

  • Advise managers on prioritization of UI design tasks.

  • Anticipate limitations and augmentations needed for accessibility.

  • Follow and promote use of Pluto’s Venetia design system.

Qualities / Experience We’re Seeking

We believe these are the key requirements to be successful:

  • Over one year of experience working within a product design team, preferably in an agile environment.

  • Exceptional examples of using Figma to create reusable components.

  • Expert level knowledge of the Figma design tool.

  • Experience working within design teams and contributing to a shared library.

  • Desire to work within an agile environment.
