Digital Creative Director

Job Description

As a Creative Director at Soda & Lime, you will help lead our in-house creative department and work closely with a dedicated group of vendors, while setting the creative strategy, design style, and overall vision for every project.

You will be tasked with conceptualizing world class creative strategies and the hands on development of breathtaking designs across all forms of digital media.

With a strong focus on 360 integrated marketing, your ideas will drive large scale campaigns and tactical executions for a very diverse list of high profile client partners.

To prove that you have these capabilities, you’ll need a history of developing and presenting award winning creative, Creative Suite mastery, and management responsibilities that include overseeing a department, handling resource issues and keeping strategically tailored, creatively powerful, and thoroughly refined projects on track.

Agency or brand experience in sports, entertainment, theatrical marketing, e-commerce, and/or retail is a plus!

To qualify for this role, you must first and foremost, be an inspirational leader.

You’ll be overseeing a growing team of Art Directors, Junior Designers, and other creative staff, so you should know how to motivate them to meet deadlines and mentor them to create amazing products.

This involves being able to communicate clearly, understanding brand development and utilizing positive reinforcement to keep your team focused and energized.

You should be comfortable interacting and presenting to people at all levels, from entry-level designers to company CEOs.

You should be a hands-on, detail-oriented, and highly trained designer at heart, who can also actively develop an amazing team, incredible creative solutions, and big ideas!

Job Skills

Copywriting: Write inspiring and clever copy while recognizing fresh approaches.

Interpersonal Skills: Clearly communicate with internal staff and executive clients on a regular basis.

Management Skills: Keep a staff of creatives on schedule and inspired, while managing your own daily responsibilities.

Strong Presentation Skills: the Creative Director will be engaging with our client’s CEOs, CMOs and Executive Directors

Education & Experience Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree or comparable art degree; relevant fine arts or creative field.

Examples of such fields include fine art, marketing, advertising, communications, or public relations.

5+ yrs of experience as a Creative Director, Senior Copy Writer, or Senior Art Director at an agency or brand focusing on digital and branding is preferred but will consider similar industry and/or creative skills and backgrounds.

Technical Skills & Knowledge

Our creative directors need technical skills in a variety of areas.

This includes experience in graphic design, copywriting knowledge and editing skills.

You should be able to use software common to the job, such as Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.

A solid understanding of 3D/2D animation, VR, video editing is also preferred, but not required.
