The Technical Designer is a key asset to helping to create standards and strategy in order to bridge the following departments: design, sales, costing and production. You should strive to create connections and guide complexity by deconstructing problems into actionable objectives.?

Responsibilities:

? Collaborate with Design and Sales teams to understand direction/design concepts, target consumers, and fit
direction for a specific product category

? Work with internal partners to engineer prototypes that address function, aesthetics, market appeal and
manufacturability. Emphasis on innovative use of components, materials, and construction to meet product
vision.

? Provide input to the design process to improve development efficiency, costing and production.

? Maintain clear, timely and effective communication with all employees and factory partners reviewing progress
and resolving issues.

? Problem and customer focused mindset

? Develop complete Tech Packs with detailed specification, fabrication, and technical drawings from Designer?s
initial sketch

? Manage fitting process by making appropriate fit/construction adjustments and communicating changes to
internal team and vendors overseas

? Work closely with the Production Manager & Design Team?

? Establish and maintain brand fit, spec, and construction consistency

Qualifications

? Deep understanding of product creation (materials/ color, design, development, sourcing, costing) processes

? Experience working cross functionally in a large matrixed organization

? Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign etc.) skills required

? Basic knowledge of PLM systems.?

? Design skills including drawing/sketching,?

? Knowledge of print production a plus
