Join our team and make a differenceWe have an outstanding opportunity for an administrative professional to join Aqua Virginia on a full-time, direct basis as our Business Administrative Assistant at our office in Rockville, VA This person will support our State President with coordination and contract preparation (related to the installation of new assets, service extensions, processing of applications for service, and completion of administrative requirements).

This person will also assist the President with statistical data analysis related to utility operations and coordination of internal / inter-departmental program support activities, commission filings, and other projects (as assigned).ESSENTIAL DUTIES:Prepare contracts, agreements, letters, and related documents for utility services or extensions.

Serve as the primary Point of Contact to coordinate the processing and approval of service connection requests; this involves organizing and maintaining new business files as well as creating status updates.

Prepare management reports including contracts & deposits processed, projected new services, and reports on new connections & lot closing (on a daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis).Act as a Liaison between Aqua Virginia, Developers, and others with respect to new business matters; this involves coordinating review of requests for water main extensions, wastewater capacity availability, and other requests for capacity & service with internal departments (including Operations, Engineering, and Corporate Development).Assist the President with business development documentation.Provide administrative support to company leadership for Commission filings as well as assistance on data requests from public agencies & staff.Maintain project tracking spreadsheets for each region of the state.Collect fees for applications, taps, extensions of services, and capacity fees.Support emergency response actions and service disruptions.Assist with other administrative duties, as directed by the President for support of overall company operations and initiatives.QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS:High School Diploma (or equivalent) is required; completion of a College Degree is a preferred3 years of professional experience working with administrative functions; experience supporting business management is preferred.Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (e.g.: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).Excellent analytical skills; experience working with the development of data-driven reports is preferred.Excellent communications skills (written & verbal).Strong customer service skills.Proven ability to work well under-pressure.Proven ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.A team player demeanor with the ability to work effectively and multi-task in a team-focused environment.Previous experience in the Utility industry, especially in a water/wastewater environment, is a plusCOVID-19 Vaccination RequirementsSeasonal employees / Summer internships are excluded from these requirements, however vaccinations are preferred.
