- Bachelor degree required. Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business strongly desired.
- Experience in state and local transaction tax required.
- Strong knowledge of multi-state indirect and transaction tax laws with the ability to research and document complex tax issues.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to complete assigned tasks with minimal supervision.
- Identify problems/issues and follow-up with the proper resolution.
- Strong knowledge of desktop software packages including Word, Excel and Access.
- Ability to work simultaneously on numerous projects.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

Job Requirements:
- Maintain journal entries for the accurate recording of tax liabilities and perform GL account reconciliations
- Create and/or revise spreadsheets and processes to improve the tax return filing procedures.
- Undertake recurring and special projects including utilization of support personnel as needed.
- Resolve directly with state and local authorities any tax notices or issues
- Act as Tax Department subject matter expert/project point person on intra/inter departmental projects or initiatives.
- Prepare documentation to support compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX 404) controls and procedures.
- Perform research on complex tax issues.
