About the role: This position will be responsible for developing a deep technical understanding of STS product offerings, interacting with internal teams, evaluating their systems, and designing product integrations.
The position will also act as a consultant within STS internal teams to help create architectural approaches for software design and implementation to guide the development team.
This is a hands-on software development position; you will be expected to perform at a Sr Staff Software Developer level.

Key responsibilities will include: Drive architecture, software patterns, and standard methodologies across the department.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to application development teams.
Develop and maintain comprehensive view of current and future state architecture that aligns with business strategy.
Act as an individual contributor (Hands-on Developer) to implement designs with application team.
Responsible for translating requirements into design and implementation of well-structured and documented software components.
Implement new software component designs or enhancements to existing software products; participates in the implementation of more complex subsystems and systems.
Presents/Participates with team in design reviews and code inspections in a constructive manner.
Lead technical design reviews and code inspections providing clear, actionable feedback for project team members.
Ensures compliance to regulatory requirements, BD quality standards, and conveys an expectation of high software quality.
Ideal Candidate: Experience with much of the following: Web frameworks such as Angular, React, or Vue.
Angular experience is a plus.
Microservice and Event-Driven Architecture.
Experience with NServiceBus is a major plus.
Broad exposure to system integrations, integration patterns, and standard methodologies.
High level of proficiency in C#, .NET Framework, and .NET Core.
Excellent understanding of relational databases.
SQL Server is a major plus.
Secure coding principles.
Detailed knowledge of software systems development, architecture best practices, and patterns.
Excellent knowledge of distributed systems principles.
Must be a servant leader, active mentor, and lead by example.
Must be willing to present architectures and write/evaluate code in front of others (all levels).
Excellent written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills are crucial.
Education and experience required: BS/BA in computer science, engineering or relevant field or a combination of equivalent education and relevant experience.
Minimum of 8 years of experience building enterprise-quality software.
