Description

Telos CG is searching for Senior Financial Controller eager to join the team at a reputable wholesale cannabis distribution company.

The position is responsible for our accounting and clerical department.

As the Controller, you will plan and direct all accounting operational functions, manage the accumulation and consolidation of financial information for internal and external financial statements, assess accounting and internal control systems, and guide departmental staff.

The permanent Controller position is situated in the Los Angeles, California area.

Your responsibilities

– Time monthly billing and other cash management techniques to make sure cash collection is punctual

– Assess, execute and streamline policies, procedures, controls and most methodologies

– Manage daily cash and prepare cash-flow reports, projecting cash needs at weekly and monthly intervals

– Support Finance Department initiatives, including software and systems implementation and other departmental or firm-wide improvements, through research, planning and implementation, as needed

– Collaborate with executive team and partners to support efficient and effective firm-wide operation

– Manage monthly and annual close of income statement and balance sheet, the reconciliations of accounts, and G/L analysis

– Each month, present executive committee and partners with financial reports

– Ensure client satisfaction by reviewing deliverables of self and team

– Manage the creation of and monthly monitoring of the annual budget and forecasts

– Perform duties beyond formal job responsibilities

– Oversee the activities of the finance department, such as accounts payable, billings & collections, and payroll

Requirements

– Progressive accounting experience, including as a Controller preferred

– Strong communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, both oral and written, and ability to build as well as deliver effective presentations

– Strong communication and interpersonal skills

– Advanced credentials such as a Masters of Business Administration / MBA or Certified Public Accountant / CPA are preferred

– Critical thinking skills and the ability to retain complex work directions

– Ability to complete multiple tasks and projects within deadlines

– Comfortable working in a changing and dynamic environment

– Excellent technology, analytics and management experience required

– Month end closings experience desired

– Prior work done in public accounting is desired

– BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business related field

– Self-starter, ability to identify issues and resolve problems

– Excellent attention to detail

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00
