SHO Products is looking for an individual with a foundational level of experience in bookkeeping and/or accounting to assist with specific aspects of the company’s bookkeeping. We are adding this additional clerk role along with a recent Accounts Receivable Manager hire to manage the continued growth of the company and to pull back in house all sales reconciliations that are currently partially managed externally. The individual’s responsibilities will include assisting with:

  • Daily Retail Shop and Online Cash and Merchant Sales Reconciliations through our Sales Channel platform into Quickbooks Online
  • Cash counting and allocating cash received to various Brand Payable accounts
  • Monitor accounts and incoming payments for multiple related entities
  • Verify, classify, calculate, post and record accounts receivable data
  • Recognize, investigate, and resolve discrepancies in sales data
  • Communicate with sales representatives and solve transaction related issues
  • Prepare and manage invoices and bank deposits
  • Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger and Brand Cash accounts
  • Month-end closing
  • Continuous review of merchant deposits to ensure they are running smoothly
  • Developing a deep understanding of the Chart of Accounts for all related entities and the interplay between entities for use in classifying transactions.
  • Requesting 1099 information from new or existing vendors.
  • Properly organizing and sorting physical mail and Finance Inbox.
  • Other accounting tasks and projects as needed.

Requirements:

  • Outstanding analytical and organizational skills
  • Must be Computer Savvy especially with spreadsheets and Google Suite applications
  • Ability to become proficient with several accounting tools including Smartsheets, Quickbooks Online and Expensify.
  • Experience with most or all of the highlighted responsibilities above
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable in an office environment and works well within a team
  • Compatible with our company culture

Compensation is dependent on experience. Possibility of full-time offer after 30 days evaluation period.
