INTERIM CONTROLLER ETONIEN is sourcing for a high-performing Interim Controller for a manufacturing/retail/distribution company based in the Los Angeles, CA area. The ideal, well-qualified Interim Controller will have 10 years of progressive Sr. Level Accounting experience in a direct retail environment, as well as a CPA. He or she is an individual who shares our client’s passion for retail and exceptional service. Oversee all accounting and finance activities, including financial reports, treasury, cash flow, accounts receivable, accounts payable, inventory accounting, closing of the general ledger, forecasting, tax compliance and financial analysis Fully plan and manage the timely and accurate full-cycle month-end close process and related activities to ensure accounts are properly reconciled and reported for domestic and international entities Responsible for establishing and maintaining internal controls and procedures, as well as development, management, oversight, compliance, and reporting of key financial metrics Closely manage and compare budget to actual and document variances Ensure that all department processes and procedures are appropriately documented and executed Additional ad hoc business and financial/accounting initiatives as assigned?? Requirements Requirements Bachelor’s degree, CPA is preferred 10 years progressive relevant work experience preferably in a consumer goods wholesale/retail, manufacturing and/or distribution environment Strong, hands-on experience with software and systems 7 years Supervisory experience with directing support staff Roll-up the sleeves mentality; comfortable operating with a very lean staff Advanced Excel skills Excellent written, verbal, communication, and interpersonal skills with a customer service focus Detail oriented and organized in work
