About the InternshipThe internship is a 10-week, 32-hour per week program from June to September.

The Finance Intern reports to the Director of Finance and may be responsible for a variety of tasks, including, but not limited to: budgeting and forecasting, month-end closing processes, financial reporting, and acquisition accounting.

Propel will provide necessary training in these areas.

Responsibilities Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Prepare journal entries for month-end accrual, true-up, and adjustmentsPrepare balance sheet reconciliations and follow-up on timely clearing of all reconciling transactionsAssist in monthly variance analysis of actuals to budgetAssist to research and prepare information for external auditsAssist in acquisition accountingAssist in other ad-hoc or special projects as requiredPerform other duties as assigned by supervisor Qualifications QualificationsMajor in accounting/financeExcellent written and verbal communication skills Basic Excel skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsHigh degree of accuracy with a good eye for detailSelf-motivated and proactiveDemonstrated ability to take initiative and achieve results in a fast-paced and changing environmentDemonstrated ability to learn and use innovative technologies on a continual basis Equal Opportunity Employment Were an equal opportunity employer.
