Corporate Controller

CORPORATE CONTROLLER

Our client, a leading multi-strategy investment manager, is seeking a Corporate Controller.

This individual will be responsible for the accounting operations of the organization which includes the production of financial reports and statements, oversight of the accounting systems, recordkeeping, and management of the comprehensive set of controls and budgets.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Produce timely and accurate financial and accounting reports that are compliant with all applicable statutes, regulations, and policies Manage all general accounting, payroll, and purchasing which include performing month-end close process, preparing and booking journal entries, account reconciliations, procurement, shipping & receiving, inventory, variance analysis, project management and maintain fixed asset records Annual budget and monthly forecast preparation Provide timely and accurate responses to requests for information from internal and external offices Develop, maintain and improve financial and accounting policies and procedures; modify organizational structure to improve operations and services delivery Oversee tax-related matters to ensure they are met in a timely manner

QUALIFICATIONS:
At least 10 years of relevant experience in financial accounting, audit, or finance function Strong technical U.S.

GAAP accounting knowledge Ability to oversee all aspects of the accounting area including AR, AP, Credit & Collection, Payroll, and General Ledger Ensure the month close is completed accurately and within the monthly close cycle, including the preparation and review of all Balance Sheet account reconciliations and key accruals Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field CPA or prior public accounting experience preferred Proven understanding of financial instruments and financial statements Excellent quantitative/analytical and oral/written communication skills Ability to work in fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
