As an Accounting Supervisor you will perform financial statement line-item reconciliations so our team can identify differences and propose system corrections between financial systems and the general ledger.

Every day, you will focus on the following : Perform Financial Statement Line-Item Reconciliation (such as Fund Balance with Treasury, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Property, etc.) using Microsoft Excel.

Create detailed SOPs on finance processes, as well as cycle memos detailing workflows/ processes involving multiple organizations and systems.

Maintain weekly communication with Senior Management while producing quality, timely, detailed, and competent work product.

Manage the day-to-day activities of on-site staff, ensuring the quality, timeliness, and competency of their work product.

Assist in the preparation of GTAS Treasury reports and reconcile to the Statement of Budgetary Resources.

To thrive in this role, you will need at least five (5) years’ of experience working with federal financial statement reconciliations including two years of leading a team.

In addition, you will need exposure to: Knowledge of accounting standards issued by the Federal Accounting Standards Advisory Board (FASAB) (Seniors and Managers) and the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) (Manager level requirement).

Technical experience in commercial accounting, federal accounting, and financial statement audits to serve as the primary lead of the proposed team.

Ability to analyze large volumes of transactions in computerized systems with a high degree of accuracy.
