He/she will be instrumental in setting up new policies, processes procedures.

In addition to driving organizational change, the Sr Accountant will be responsible for all things accounting as it relates to overseeing AP, full cycle accounting, and month, quarter year end reporting.

The position reports to the Controller and manages a member of the team.

THE GIG // Oversee the accounts payable function, to include managing an AP Accountant driving process improvements.

// Prepare weekly reporting to be distributed to the operations executive teams.

// Assist with week
– period-end close processes, to include entering journal entries, reconciling accounts, investigating discrepancies.

// Work closely with HR Operations teams to track record accurate shop-level results.

// Partner with HR to review reconcile payroll ensure headcount is properly allocated // Track manage insurance allocations, to include workers compensation, general liability, all benefit plans, prior experience accounting for a self-funded healthcare plan a plus // Play a key role in the reengineering, development implementation of new accounting software, policies, processes, procedures // Participate in systems testing, training other change management activities // Critically assess processes, identify resolve issues, find implement ways to innovate streamline processes to support growth // Work closely with the CFO Controller on ad hoc reporting analysis // Effectively lead and manage a direct report, provide feedback, coaching and training, as well as perform all other people leadership responsibilities // Other duties as assigned THE MUST HAVES // Bachelors in Accounting // At least 5 years of experience in a corporate accounting environment, preferably in the restaurant, hospitality or retail industries // Strong problem-solving, documentation, research, data analysis skills.

// Solid understanding of Microsoft Excel to build models and dynamic reports.

// Ability to communicate effectively both in writing verbally.

// Ability to work independently with a team in a fast-paced, high volume environment that emphasizes timeliness accuracy.
