Financial Specialist III – Executive Health

The Financial Specialist III is to support patients’ billing inquires as it relates to explanation of benefits, financial assistance, patient disputes, insurance verification, credit card payments and other billing inquiries.

Will be supporting calls and patient correspondence within the call center guidelines.

This position holds responsibilities off line management tasks, employee training, assisting with policies and procedures, supervisory calls and other managerial support needed.Job Duties and Responsibilities:* Assist supervisor/manager with special projects as needed* Assist in reviewing EPIC workqueues to assess workload* Respond to web and email inquiries in expeditious manner* Handling inbound calls within call center metrics guidelines and efficiency expectations* Working EPIC work queues as assigned by supervisor/manager* Serves as a Subject Matter Expert to handle special inquiries* Accurately updating account information (registration, insurance, etc.)* Provide detailed documentation for all accounts* Follow-up on all customer related issues not resolved during initial contact* Patient call backs* Handling and completing patient correspondence in a timely manner* Handling raised issues* Perform basic account adjustments* Other duties as assigned Education:High school diploma or GED required.Experience:* Four (4) years of work experience in the medical field, preferably in Physician Billing.* Three (3) years of customer service experience required.* Proficiency in EPIC medical billing system* Knowledge of third party reimbursement regulations and billing practices* Service oriented attitude – willingness to provide quality assistance to patients and diffuse irate callers when necessary* Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify/resolve problems, detail the outcome and follow-up, if necessary * Working Title: Financial Specialist III
