Staff Accountant – New York City A rapidly growing start up in the consumer products fitness and wellness space is looking to hire its first Accountant.
You’ll work closely with the VP Finance on all aspects of accounting and finance with a tremendous opportunity for growth personally and professionally.
Responsibilities: Responsible for all financial and operational activities for the organization in conjunction with VP Finance Take on an active role in developing and managing the annual budgeting process Responsible for conducting Balance Sheet, bank, AP, and other reconciliations Own and explain Balance Sheet and Income Statement line-item variances Responsible for all facets of the month-end close process Other ad hoc projects as requested by other team members Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting 1-2 years of experience in accounting Advanced knowledge of Excel Experience in VBA is plus, experienced with Power BI is preferred Strong working knowledge of accounting systems with experience with QB Experience in either retail, wholesale, or ecommerce required Salary: $55,000
