Senior Director, Product Management – Platforms

The NFL is looking for a passionate Senior Director of Product Platforms who will be responsible for developing and executing a product strategy for our user-facing NFL digital products.

Areas of ownership for this role include NFL.com, NFL Mobile, NFL Connected TV applications, NFL Gaming websites and apps, and NFL Club digital experiences.

The ideal candidate is a user at heart with strong opinions on how to provide the best user experience possible to football fans everywhere.

This position requires understanding of the intricacies of iOS, Android, and Connected TV platforms and how best to leverage the unique functionality that each provides.

The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience leading digital product initiatives from start-to-finish, and developing product opportunities focused on driving key metrics around engagement, conversion, and retention.

Coupled with an understanding of the nuances between a metrics-driven approach and an opinion-based approach to the overall product development process.

As the Senior Director you will manage a team of product managers responsible for defining the core NFL digital products enjoyed by millions of football fans.

You will work closely with the Product Development Leadership Team to create an environment that fosters creativity and collaboration.

This is a position that requires executive-level thinking along with a willingness to roll up the sleeves and do what needs to be done.

You are a self-starter with excellent communication skills who can develop and sell a unique product vision.

You will be able to demonstrate extensive experience managing the launch of numerous high-profile products.

A strong interest in sports and the NFL is required.

Responsibilities Develop a vision and execute a holistic product strategy and roadmap for the NFL suite of user-facing digital products.

Represent the Product Development Team at the executive level and evangelize the strategic roadmap across the broader NFL organization.

Lead and inspire a high-performing team of product managers who are passionate about delivering engaging digital football experiences to fans.

Understand user needs, evolving market trends, technology innovations, and competitive offerings to grow and develop new digital products.

Partner with business development teams to ensure smooth delivery of NFL contractual requirements.

Identify opportunities for operational efficiencies and work across multiple teams to implement streamlined product development processes and procedures.

Own and manage the complete product life cycle from strategic planning to tactical implementation, using analytics to inform project priorities.

Build fruitful partnerships with engineering, design, and editorial teams.

Required Education and Experience 12 years of Product Management experience working in consumer technology or digital media.

3-5 years of management experience is required.

Strong communication and collaboration skills, ability to build and maintain strong relationships, and the conviction to influence and lead without direct authority.

Experience instilling a strong product culture that rewards innovation, rapid testing, and continuous learning.

Remarkable attention to detail, and an ability to thrive in a creative, deadline-driven environment.

Expertise in modern forms of product discovery, planning, and development.

Demonstrated ability to gather and synthesize requirements across diverse functional areas and convert them into a product roadmap and vision.

Proven ability to lead and manage multiple work streams simultaneously Experience with personalized and subscription-based products and services a plus Strong knowledge of sports and digital sports products MBA a plus Supervisory Responsibility This position will manage a team of product managers responsible for defining the core NFL digital products enjoyed by millions of football fans.
