Cedars-Sinai: T32 Research Fellow (U. S. Citizenship/Residency) – Lung Institute – Chen Lab

You will work independently but in close cooperation and in consultation with the Principal Investigator and other Research Scientists, to perform routine and complex laboratory procedures throughout your training period.

You may develop, adapt, and implement new research techniques and protocols, analyze and interpret data and may assist in preparation of grant proposals.

You will participate in publications and presentations as an author or co-author.

You will not responsible for generating grant funds.Our Pulmonary Research comprises a group of world-class researchers and up-and-coming investigators whose combined interests span multiple disciplines.

Our unified goal is to understand the underlying mechanisms that cause various lung diseases and ultimately translate those findings to improving patient health.

In particular; our group has expertisein both basic and translational research on interstitial lung diseases, such as idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, acute lung injury, acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS), Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), lung transplantation and bronchiolitis obliterans syndrome (BOS), and lung infection, among others.The research community at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center is highly collaborative and interactive with a growing research enterprise that includes top researchers in a variety of scientific areas.

The Academic Affairs office provides annual lecture series on various topics such as faculty development, grantsmanship, careers in biotech, and alternative career choices in science.

To learn more, please visit: Pulmonary Research | Cedars-Sinai (cedars-sinai.Org) We are seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow who seeks to impact change by improving patient’s lives by gaining acceptance into the National Institute of Health (NIH) funded T32 training program for federally-funded basic, translational, and clinical research fellowships in respiratory biology and diseases at our world-renowned Lung Institute.You will be allowed to choose a mentor(s) within the Lung Institute to conduct your research and a career development committee will be formed to help you meet your ultimate career goals.

Your research will be augmented with various scientific meetings/presentations such as research-in-progress, journal clubs, and research symposiums.
